Liberty update: we're back

We're back after a good week of ministry at Liberty University. Thank you so much for your prayers. Highlights include:

1) Seeing over 25 kids (rough visual guess) come forward to commit their lives to Christ Monday night.

2) Seeing hundreds of students fill the front of Thomas Road church on Tuesday night, confessing their sin and receiving forgiveness from our Savior.

3) Seeing our team take large strides forward in expressing their love and need for Jesus Christ.

4) Some great hang out time at different places in Lynchburg with the team. A fun Japanese restaurant, a Mexican restaurant.

5) Speaking at Liberty University's "Worship History and Philosophy" class with Andi and Meredith. I really felt God helped me speak from my heart.

6) Helping a student through some difficult passages in Hebrews. The Lord reminded me of the perfect verse to make His truth clear!

prayer: Liberty class

sorry for all the super fast posts: we just need a lot of prayer right now.

Pray for Meredith Andrews, Andi Rozier and me as we speak to a class of 80 this morning about worship. The class is full of people going into full-time music ministry. We've been asked to describe our church and ministry . . . pray that God would be glorified.

LIberty update: Monday evening

A pretty good evening.

Great: About 30 students came forward to accept Christ.

Good: Music went better than this morning. The students were much more open to what we doing.

Strange: the kids don't bring their bible to chapel (not all, but definitely most). The chapel leader told us that they normally just put the scripture on the powerpoint, but doesn't that lose something?
afterwards: Bill Cosby on Leno. Hilarious. That man . . . pure genius.

POLL: Do you bring your bible to church? All the time? Sometimes? Rarely? Never?

Liberty update: Monday morning

First session is done. A pretty cold welcome from the students. They warmed up as Pastor James got speaking.

Hosea 6

“Come, let us return to the Lord;
for he has torn us, that he may heal us;
he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will raise us up,
that we may live before him.
3 Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord;
his going out is sure as the dawn;
he will come to us as the showers,
as the spring rains that water the earth.”

. . . In Kentucky

Doing some fun ministry with new friends with the dB network band this weekend. We're ministering to pastors at the Kentucky Baptist Conference "Shepherding the Shepherd" get-together.

My other guys (HBC/Downpour) are in Houston, rocking the truth of the gospel to radio listeners of "Walk In The Word".

When we get back, it's a hard week of work (getting HBC put together, and tracking some recording) followed by a trip to Liberty University. We're ministering to the students there as part of their Spiritual Emphasis week.
